David’s parents moved to Omaha several years ago. David and I started navigating our way in their world through his parents’ eyes. We wanted companion care that felt like family…someone who would consider what it is that you like to do, not just provide a list of options. Someone who would seek out counsel when things didn’t look right. We found good people. We just felt they needed better back up.
From that experience, we started Bloom Companion Care, a non-medical companion care company based right here in Omaha.
Our system is this, individual caregivers who have support staff to help them be confident to do what helps the client feel connected both emotionally and physically to the world around them.
When we interview your loved one, we look for ways to connect their interests to the broader community calendar, making every effort to find moments that add meaning for them.
We perform daily charting of health concerns and activities. We partner with those most capable of helping our client maintain an optimal health status.
We provide services that meet the client’s needs. For example, one client wanted his wife’s homemade cookies. Using her recipe, we make them as often as he needs them. Another client was intent on logging her family photographs and recording an oral commentary. We were happy to provide assistance in accomplishing her goal.
At Bloom Companion Care we go beyond light housekeeping and personal hygiene. Together, we help our clients maintain independence at home.
